Open the LastPass for Windows Desktop application on your desktop. Enter your Active Directory email address. Navigate to the password field, and a new authentication window will open and redirect to your company's federated login page. Log in with your Active Directory credentials. LastPass Authenticator is a two-factor authentication app for your LastPass account and other supported apps. LastPass Authenticator offers simple, secure authentication to your accounts by generating passcodes for login or receiving push notifications for one-tap approval. They can use LastPass on his iPhone, Android work phone, tablet, and smart watch, but they can't use LastPass on their desktop or laptop unless they upgrade to LastPass Premium, which has unlimited device type access. As a Free user, your first login on or after March 16th will set your active device type.

Use LastPass Enterprise across multiple platforms and devices

LastPass offers browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera. They also offer compatible MacOS and Windows Desktop apps, and Android and iOS mobile apps.

To download LastPass browser extensions/apps, visit the LastPass Downloads Page to download the extension(s)/app(s) of your choice. To download the Windows Desktop app specifically, refer to the instructions on the LastPass for Applications Page.

Please Note: for optimal performance, functionality, and support, LogMeIn recommends using the LastPass browser extensions as your primary method of access.

Once you have the browser extension installed, the LastPass icon will appear on your browser's toolbar. The color of the icon indicates the status of your session. If the browser icon is red, you are logged in and your session is active. If the browser icon is yellow, your session has become inactive and you will need to re-authenticate to access your Vault. If the browser icon is black, you are not logged in.

Uninstall the LastPass web browser extension

The instructions for uninstalling the LastPass web browser extension will vary, depending on your web browser and operating system.

To uninstall LastPass from your web browser, use one of the following procedures depending on your chosen web browser:To uninstall LastPass web browser extension
Do this
Google Chrome
  1. Right-click on the active LastPass icon in your Chrome toolbar.
  2. Click Remove from Chrome.
  3. Click Remove to confirm.
FireFox

Go to Firefox > Tools > Add-ons > Extensions > Remove.

Safari for Mac
  1. Go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions > LastPass > Uninstall.
  2. Click Uninstall to confirm.
Safari app extension for Mac
  1. Quit Safari.
  2. Quit the LastPass Safari app extension app.
  3. Once both are closed, go to your Applications folder.
  4. Click and drag the LastPass App icon into the Trash.
Safari for Windows
  1. Go to Safari > Edit > Preferences > Extensions > LastPass > Uninstall.
  2. Click Uninstall to confirm.
Opera
  1. Right-click on the LastPass icon in your Opera toolbar.
